What to include in your takedown

SoundCloud — like every DMCA recipient — needs the same core information to action a report. Include:

• Your full name and contact details (email, physical address if required).
• A link to your original work — your portfolio, the Instagram post, the date you published it. Proof of ownership matters.
• A short description of the work so the reviewer can match it.
• The exact URL(s) of the infringing listings or content on SoundCloud.
• A good-faith statement: "I have a good-faith belief that the use of this material is not authorised by me, my agent, or the law."
• A statement under penalty of perjury: "I confirm under penalty of perjury that the information above is accurate and that I am the copyright owner (or authorised to act on behalf of the owner)."

If SoundCloud ignores you

If SoundCloud is slow to act, identify the distributor that uploaded the track (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, Ditto Music) and report there — a takedown at the distributor removes the track from every streaming service at once. Payment processors are a further lever.
